The holidays are a usually when we make time to be with family, foster traditions and find ourselves reflecting:
It’s been a roller coaster of a ride for me and my family these last few years and I want to thank you all for your patience and support. I think we all never really think of ourselves as grown ups, but I guess it’s about time that I finally slide into that role. We all have something to be thankful for and when I wake up in the morning, my head swells with all the many people, places and things I have to be thankful for and I’m especially thankful when I step outside for that first fresh breath of air – be it hot and smoky, cold and rainy or sunny and flowery, I feel alive. Although I don’t ‘count’ my blessings, I do know that I’m blessed and thoughts ping through my head all day long reminding me of the many ways I am blessed.
It’s a time for resolutions, goal setting and life planning. At this time of year, with regard to goal setting, there’s a wise saying: A goal without a plan is just a dream… Write it down, be specific, make an action plan (a to do list), have a timeline, re-evaluate often and stay motivated! Here’s a great article on goal-setting and help with an action plan: https://www.mindtools.com/pages/article/newHTE_90.htm
